In my opinion simply it is not possible because we will never be able to get data of infinite number of interactions happen in a production system, particularly in organic where these interactions are much more than chemical system. Further the system response to soil and atmospheric environment is very difficult to predict. For example if by application of one organic input soil pH change from 7.2 to 7.9 then what would be response of thousands of living in the soil that ultimately change in nutrient availability.If science can calculate these biological interactions than only AI or whatever advanced method of calculations/prediction will be successful.

Of course, because AI and data analytics is the future in all realms of research, whether ecology or accounting :)

Ideally people would be able to eat locally grown food wherever they live on earth. Sustainable organic = regenerative or Permaculture Food Forests, or conservation agriculture. Each soil type and climate requires specific and possibly unique actions to restore degraded soil, and to support the soil biome (fungi, bacteria, nematodes and other worms, single celled organisms...), essential for sustainability. Perhaps AI could model the current state of the soil, and design an approach that would quickly achieve the required result. Given the enormous potential for soil carbon sequestration to pull CO2 out of the atmosphere, the urgency to implement a climate solution like this that is effective at scale might be addressed by AI and Big Data.

There are different areas to achieved sustainability in organic agriculture, i will not say that artificial intelligence cannot or do not help the agriculture, but personally when it comes to organic agriculture any diversion to natural way will cause an indifference to organic sustainability.

The emergence of new technological trends like artificial intelligence (AI) enables farmers to take a data-driven approach to collect and analyze large amounts of data to gain knowledge about the real-time status of their fields to improve farm yield and mitigate risks from weeds, pests, and diseases.

The adoption of AI-Big Data, will help to model more optimized decisions for sustainable environmment and increased yield.

Weed risk, pests, low yield and diseases are symptoms of poor soil, poor plant resistance, and lack of diversity in the crop - all features of the current dominant monocropping-tilling-chemical agricultural techniques.

We have more important problems than weeds! 800 million people are starving. Climate change has reached a critical point. Let's choose the parameters of sustainable climate and nutrition for AI to work on! My prediction is that AI will not be able to outperform nature, the complexity and effectiveness of which we have ignored, to our peril, but AI might be able to suggest a way forward...

In my opinion, artificial intelligence, big data analytics and other Industry 4.0/5.0 technologies, technologies typical of the current technological revolution, can help develop sustainable organic agriculture based on planning, organizing and managing biodiverse, multi-species crops.
