This allows lecturers to personalize the content and delivery, making it more engaging and effective. Also, AI can provide lectures with real-time feedback. Finally, AI is a great tool that helps lecturers improve their teaching pedagogy, and the human element of teaching remains irreplaceable.
AI can significantly enhance pedagogy in both theory and practice of education in numerous ways. One notable improvement lies in enhancing the content of lesson plans. AI certainly can enrich pedagogy or rather boost the art and science of teaching. This too comes with its pros and cons but the underlying statement is the responsible use of AI.
Whereas AI provides real time information and advances access to high quality educational resources to students, unfortunately the unethical use of AI has made students -who are the center of pedagogy- very lazy.
Situations where students copy and paste information from AI for their assignments and research work is not ethical at all. Students can instead use generated information from AI as ideas for further reading and research.
Patricia Oyuga Very true and especially students in distance learning heavily rely on it for completing tasks. Those in F2F do use it but some are still in fear to actually use it as some lecturers at times talk about it and how they will easily detect and award Zero for such work. However, I am just concerned if is there a positive about AI despite its inaccuracies?
