I am trying to understand whether the farmers in the developing countries dry grains and store on-farm as an increasing number of grain farmers are doing in the U.S. So if you can provide me with any literature it would be great.
Hello. In my experience, I can say that in the Republic of Kazakhstan, farmers dry grain in an open area, if it is going to rain, they cover it with an awning. After the dried grain is stored in special containers. This simple method is used in small farms. There is even a special regulatory document of January 19, 2001 "On Grain".
