I am working on metallic glasses. I want to buy this material, but I do not know how to buy it. Do you know which companies or websites sell this material? I need to buy a metallic glass thin film ( the thickness < 200 nm).
MGs/BMGs are not really commercially available most of us make our own, you could get in touch with liquid metal and enquire but I wouldn't expect much.
Does your school have a vacuum arc melter if so you can prepare a small ingot of a glass forming alloy and then us it as a sputtering target to make your films. The advantage of this is that you can use whatever alloy chemistry you wish as you have complete control.
I have here a copy of Pang Jian Jun's thesis from NTU (2011)which says he used induction melting and magnetron sputtering to create thin amorphous metal coatings.
It's a hard copy but I can scan the relevant pages and send them to you tomorrow. His supervisor was Tan Ming Jen who might be able to give you a full copy.
I dig up your discussion, but some papers from Louzguine et al. in Tohoku University have been published on how to prepare thin amorphous films, such as the one below.
