Can anyone suggests a suitable bridge monitor system which can monitor the movement of the bridge through its lifespan(about 5 years)? this system should fulfill the requirement that 1.the equipment cost should be justified 2. enough accuracy and precision. by the way, the bridge will cross over the railway.
Accurate monitoring of long-term bridge movement can be difficult primarily because of the resquest for long time over which the movements occur and multiple cause of the movement. Current monitoring instrumentation and technique have developed compared to twenty years ago. Meanwhile, how to choose a stable reference point for the bridge is also the key point.
