My colleague used DMSO for dissolving the PU, but it has higher boiling point than THF.

I, on the other hand, use THF for the same polymer and it evaporates in room temperature. The key question is how fast you would like to solvent evaporate? In high speed air flow around solution THF evaporates quickly.
