I wish you could use the following
1) Lime- Preferably locally available calcined lime.
2) Rice husk ash to some extent
3) Geopolymer powder- Readily available in Chennai
4) Water or waste water treatment plant sludge.
@Gobinath, Do you believe geopolymer powder would be cost effective? Furthermore, does it have hydrophobic attributes?
Just as an idea ..Would a plastic based compound with some kind of added polymer/silicone be possibly something worth looking at..here at Plymouth University in a joint project with a French University there is a team looking at the properties and suitability of building using Cob..
