Osama, at the institutional level, the goal is to provide an environment that clearly is designed to serve human health (as opposed to merely treating disease), top to bottom, inside and out.  This starts with the very architecture, which should definitely NOT be conventional "institutional"--which so often seems "manic-depressive"!  It should be warm and inviting in appearance and in fact.  And, this includes the attitude of the staff, as well.  You want people who are empathetic, who can really feel and sympathize with others, especially those in pain and who are otherwise suffering, and those who truly know about health, who know how to get people healthy via natural methods (pure most raw foods, herbs, oils, sunlight, water, massage, etc.).  A healthcare facility is not a place that just drugs people.  You want to take the emotional into account, regarding both staff and patients. 

At the personal level, the patient needs to be instructed in his and her right use of diet and lifestyle, on his and her role in the healing process.  The book, The GREAT Liquid Diet, provides good guidelines in this regard (Amazon, $14.99 as e-book).  This would be essential reading for all staff.  You want the facility to be run as a truly professional operation, not merely as a business.  You are always asking not just how can we get them well and back on their feet as quickly as possible, but, "How can we effectively and efficiently teach and motivate patients to be health self-responsible and health unexploitable?"  This is where I would start.
