I'm looking for an anionic ionomer membrane. Solvay used to sell a perfluoro quaternary ammonium membrane called "Morgane-ADP", but it has been discontinued for some time now. All other exchange membranes I have come across (Nafion, Aquivion, etc.) are cationic.
Membranes International Inc sells an anionic exchange membrane called AMI-7001, but it has a gel polystyrene backbone, which I don't think is as robust or chemically stable as a perfluorinated version.
Does anyone know of of a vendor that sells anionic ionomer membranes (preferably perfluorinated)?

Sorry for the late response, but yes, I was able t procure sample quantities of AEMs from three companies (Neosepta AHA, Mustang-Q, AMI-7001). None of these were suitable for chemical Pt or Au deposition, but they might be better served for fuel cell research. The Neosepta and AMI-7001 membranes are fabric reinforced. The Mustang-Q is quite fragile.
I was able to get samples of the AMI and Mustang membranes simply by finding a sales rep or directly requesting on the website. The Neosepta membrane was harder to get and I had to floor manager of the factory that produces the membrane to ask for trimmings.

Here is what I found about these sources:
Fumatech sells a product called Fuma-F, but it is essentially Nafion (perfluoro sulfonic acid).
Tokuyama sells both cationic and anionic exchange membranes (a large selection as well) through a branch called ASTOM. They do not provide structural information on the membranes, but may tell me when I contact them.
The primary obstacle in obtaining products from either source is that they are foreign and do not seem to have US branches. I will update when/if I am able to obtain any products.
Update: Additional sources found include TOSOH and Pall Co.
TOSOH used to sell a product called Tosflex SF-17, which also appears to be discontinued.
Pall Co. sells a proprietary anionic exchange membrane called Mustang-Q, which also comes in cationic form. It is a quaternary amine functionality on a polyethersulfone backbone.
I have purchased from Tokuyama before, so they can handle US customers.

I keep getting the run-around (sales redirected me to the US office, which doesn't have anyone working the phones, who then emailed me and redirected me to Ameridia Corp, where the North American representative is out of town and won't take calls).

Thanks again Dr. Minteer. It turns out that Tokuyama no longer handle orders for the product I am looking for (Neosepta AHA). Ameridia Corp is now the supplier.
Update: Ameridia only sells the Neosepta AHA in bulk (smallest quantity is ~ 0.5m x 0.5m). The North American rep has provided me with a small sample (a scrap from the factory floor). The sample did not work for chemical deposition of metals and I believe it is due to the fabric reinforcement.
Pall Co.'s Mustang-Q samples are available upon request depending on the application provided (I'm guessing they do not want competitors using their samples). I have yet to receive either sample.
The AMI-7001 membrane from Membranes International Inc. is very think (450 micron), is opaque, and is heavily reinforced with fabric. It looks and feels like dried leather rather than a thin film. It also does not work for my applications.
So far, nothing seems to fit my needs (perfluorinated quaternary ammonium membrane without fabric reinforcement).
