Yes it is possible to be Aquitanian.. but what can be the sepcies?

It is nearly impossible to give a valid determination, even on genus level. The specimen is not completly preparated, its is only an internal cast without showing the external sculpture and the picture seems not to be taken in a correct angle.

The first genera in my mind when seeing your pictures are Exellichlamys, Manupecten, Semipallium, Nanaochlamys, Pseudoamussium and Parvamussium, and these are only some names from the hat.

Did the bivalve comes from the miocene layers rich in a shark fauna observable on several european fossil shows in the last years?

Great, thank you Johannes. this bivalve was recorded in shallow marine  Oligocene -early Miocene deposits in northern Tunisia.

So the sediments are older than the Oued Dayr Formation in Morocco?

Please, try to remove the matrix to show the ears,and,  do you have available the external molds?
