I agree, reminds me on an orthocone ammonite because of the diaphragm like structures at the tip of this fossil. But a better pic would be useful. :) Best greetings
Hi, it was found in a silica based sediment. The location is interpreted as a deep sea (benthic) environment with blind trilobites and little carbonate material. Presumably this means it is unlikely to be a coral....

Unfortunately, the fossil that you photographed is not well preserved. For this reason, more photos are needed. In fact, from this single photo, you can not understand if there are septa. If there are, the fossil in question it is a shell of orthocone nautilod.
You can test Mauricio suposition with this picture representing a Conulariida genus with scale but i noticed that segmented appearence typical for conulariids is not visible in your picture.
