The XRD pattern for Ag nanoparticles obtained by electrochemical synthesis has the corresponding 2theta values : 27.67, 32.17, 38.20, 46.19, 54.62, 57.41, 64.40, 67.39, 76.63. I am unable to match it with any Ag crystal systems. Kindly help me in getting the same?
I think the sample contains both FCC and some other face.
It seems contamination from precursors / capping agents / stabilizing agents which produce extra peaks other than silver peaks. Wash the synthesized material repeatedly before taking XRD. For Silver peaks, Please refer to my article, "Electrolytic Synthesis and Characterization of Silver Nanopowder".

at least a part of your the detected peaks may belong to silver oxide Ag2O. Check the corresponding JCPDS file 12-0793 with cuprite structure. It is somehow not unexpected that some silver oxide may form in nanoparticle synthesis depending on the reaction conditions. Regards, Dirk

It is very kind enough of you to take your precious time for replying. I have checked the JCPDS file and the peaks are in perfect match. But i wonder the possibility of Ag2O formation at strict experimental conditions carried out during the synthesis. If you wish i would like to share my thoughts with you through your personal mail.
