I am going to apply for Phd in the field of technology, innovation and business (especially Innovation Network) and I need some information about the universities and also the field area of their Professors.
If you are planning to do a PhD in technology and innovation,by resaerch alone, what you need to do is to think of a research area/topic, then find a university. The university need not have a programme dedicated to that particular area as long as there is a supervisor who is also interested in your area of research. The next question is: in what country do you want to do your research? Is it the US, or the UK or another country in Europe (like Denmark, Germany, France, Sweden for instance). UK: Imperial College has a good reputation for its science/technology/engineering. Or, you could consider Cambridge, or the university where I did my PhD -- University of Birmingham. In the US, Carnegie-Mellon University, MIT are places you might want to consider. CalTech is another. Do think of the costs. At US universities, you will have to take advanced courses. In the UK, if you have a recognized Master's degree, you only do the research, the expectation being that you have mastered or will master the topics by your own efforts. As I have taught technology and innovation, I can help. But, you still need to have a research topic... Good luck with your plans.
I think this can be a perfect program with scholarship opportunity at Boston university. Of course you should decide your topic and find the best scholars in this field according their publications. Then follow their position and their university programs. Good luck
Wageningen University is the top university in the world in agricultural sciences and has a very strong Knowledge, Technology and Innovation Unit. I am a part of the unit and recently we published few papers on innovation networks. Although the target sector is agriculture, we have people working on health, energy and environment. Here are some examples from our recent work.
