I am working with some organic compounds synthesized by me and some purchased. I have taken NMR spectra. How to interpret that NMR spectrum of my compounds? Is there any books or reference websites available for it. Kindly give suggestions.
NMR interpretation is a combination of scientific skill and "art". Differently from other spectral techniques, NMR requires (apart from knowledge of the theoretical part) also a lot of practical experience. I suggest you to work together with a skilled colleague and watch him/her reading his spectra, even if they are measured on completely different molecules. Meanwhile, if you have not studied NMR theory, you can start with general ones, the same that students of your faculty use for their lessons
Another trick is to measure the NMR spectra of known molecules, starting from simple ones and try to read the signals you obtained. Try different isomers, to see the effect of the position of the substituents in the various positions or the effect of cis/trans isomerism, etc.
Inerpritation of the Organic compounds there are several books i.e.Identification of the compounds by I.Fleming etc. You provide data I can help to identify structure of the compound.
Before you try to interpret solid state NMR spectra you should be familiar with NMR theory, there are some books about organic structure analysis using NMR.
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (Lambert) to mention one of them.
