Thank you so much, as you can see i'm trying to calculate the displacement and frequency of the cylinder, this picture is the first frame, i will upload a gif so you can understand what i want, i want to upload a video that i'm taking in the lab, in to the code, and i want the code to calculate the displacement of the cylinder for 300 seconds( 5 minutes )

Before applying image processing, you have to analyse the induced vibration to calculate the number of required frames per second. Then by frame substraction, get the displacement to calculate vibration frequency.

Attached is the code and results !!! I have cropped the part of the image that moves and took 2 frames (1,4) because the movement position-wise is clearer there ...

I have commented in the code ...

Took the difference of the 2 frames and then used fft for showing the vibrations as seen in the image.

Let me know , if you want more automation such as -for every 2 successive frames and more fft analysis (send me a mail , on RG)
