I need to identify the phenolic and flavonoid contents in herbal plant by Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS).

GC-MS is not the most suitable technique for determination of polyphenols since this class of compounds is not volatile. For this kind of analysis HPLC is for sure the best choice.

I wonder why people always set limits like "simultaneous" or "GCMS". You should ask for the best methodes and asked with an open mind if it can be done with GCMS or if it can becombined.
