A sequel (note the spelling) is a part which added to a story that continues and extends it.
So, the text category will usually be non-fiction, and definitely not a research paper.
Therefore there will never be an abstract in either part.
Because the first story acts as the introduction to the sequel, there is no need to introduce the locale and the characters again, so the sequel will have a tiny introduction, maybe only a sentence. Think of StarWars 1 and StarWars 2.
Thank your reply. Can you please share a sample of such articles, that would make it easy fir me. As not sure if methodology, results and discussion ; how do divide them in part1 and part 2.
A research paper has to stand by itself, and is not divided into a paper and a sequel. If the paper works out to be too long for publication in a paper journal, it is published as a single paper on the Web, or as a short paper in a physical journal, with the data or appendices reproduced on the Web.
