I have been invited to contribute a chapter to a new book project with a working title "Integrated Pest Management". This book will be published by InTech Open Access publisher. Of course there is a fee of 670 Euro's.
The publishers website lists many books across multiple disciplines and their chapter download statistics.
I am seeking feedback from anyone who has published with them and can advise of their experience. Was it worthwhile in terms of citations ?

The number of these "invitations to publish" with low quality publishers and brand-new open access (i.e. pay as you go) publishers seems to be rising. This one almost convinced me for a while.
I got a similar offer today. Even I was convinced a bit (at least to look at the site). I just don't understand why should I pay so much money to end up in something that looks more like a blog rather than a book chapter.
