I have been able to access the 10-item clinician-administered version but am interested in using the self-report form. I'm able to find articles that cite its use and those testing its viability but none that include the actual measure.
A Google search will provide a pdf file with this screen. However most medical practices use a 9-item yes-no screen that simply covers the basic content for major depression from the DSM-5 that is a lot simpler and provides straight forward indications of whether a diagnosis is present. In my opinion the MADRS-S tries to make the screening more complicated than it needs to be.
Actually not so easy to google it. Agreed. I am using the PHQ9 for general depression but this is not really validated for bipolar depression. The MADRS is better suited for this purpose and is used in most clinical trials on BAD. The QIDS is also for this.
