Can anybody tell me how to setup VersaMax PLC High Speed Counter and what Ladder Logic Block is to be used? Basically I am trying to count a quadrature encoder A & B pulse, In forward rotation value will increase and In reverse rotation value will decrease. Please help me.
Roughly speaking the steps are:
- connect the wires from the encoder to numerical input
- in ladder program you must to use a function (called in main) who contain a block (from library) speed counter connected at input
- the output(s) of block are integers who are proportional with a moving (by example) and must be converted using registers and mathematical blocks
- the value obtained can be displayed, compared, etc.
