Even after so many research, development of many technologies, the smallholder farmers are still not adopting DSR technology. Transplanted rice is still very popular even when cost of seedling raising, and transplanting are very high. The reasons behind that are

1. Not uniform crop establishment

2. Weed infestation

3. Lower yield

4. problem of cereal cyst nematodes

5. micro nutrient deficiency in DSR system

Can anybody suggest me what are the most critical issue that must be researched to solve the problem or to make DSR popular among the smallholder farmers of South Asia.
