ISIS modus operandi is highly sophisticated. In Pakistan the terrorist activities are all traditional suicide bombing with a "fidai" wearing a jacket.
Acknowledging any such activity add to their so called terror profile and their expansionist desire.
ISIS is not an organization, it is rather an ideology of radical teachings of a "Koteb", the main Muslim Brotherhood theorist. All terrorist ideologies and streams widespread in the Middle and the Far East steam from one idea, which is appealing to those who aim at manipulating religion to fulfill their political goals.
Pakistan is no difference from the above-mentioned rule; radical groups manipulate "Jihad" principle to have political gains. Poverty, illiteracy and ambitions make the recruitment of followers an easy process in the Middle and the Far East. There are organic relationships between the radical groups in these plagued regions as the cradle of terrorism.
I agree Maged with your take on ISIS's way of recruitment. My question was whether ISIS has succeeded to attract the radical groups in Pakistan. Infact, I have recently written a paper on religious extremism in Pakistan but did not get anything about ISIS. May be i restricted my paper till 2008 and ISIS is a recent phenomenon. If you can further explain and can validate your argument with evidence but in Pakistan.

I do not consider that ISIS has any foot step in Pakistan
for following reasons:-
1. ISIS has not been tasked to work against Pakistan by its mentor ;the U.S as yet.
2. ISIS balloon is shrinking even in areas where it is being supported by its mentor due to regional powers's interests.
3. Al Qeada and Taliban will not like the idea of ISIS to settle in Pakistan.

Whatever, I have read so far makes a scenario that the presence of ISIS cannot be denied in Pakistan specifically in Balochistan due to its location i.e. bordering Afghanistan and Iran. Since ISIS is more into sectarian conflict that is why, it makes some sense if we argue that it has its foothold in the area. Iran predominantly Shia country whereas its part of Balochistan is sunni, same is the case across the border where Pakistanis side of Balochistan is also predominantly Sunni. After the afghan war, the influx of Sunni Pushtoon and Pakistan Army's crack down on Northern areas of Pakistan eliminating Taliban who are also Sunni by faith, the militants find Afghanistan as their heaven. The adjacent areas specifically Balochistan which is already having an insurgency, provides the optimum environment for such violent and radicalized ideological groups.
Seema, if you want to set up a scenario with ISIS involvement in Baluchistan, you have to focus on the following issues :
1, On which side could that happen ? Pakistani government, the rebels or as a third force, of its own? What are the pro and contra arguments ?
2, What could be the gain for ISIS in Baluchistan? Either of its central leadership, either of its self-proclaimed cell from Pakistan.
3, What are the possibilities for ISIS recruitment, and what can be the reactions for an "oficialized" presence of the ISIS? Be aware, it is not only about Pakistani central government and different non-state actors from Pakistan, but of its neighbors and great powers too.
If you focus on these question, it will be a fine article. Of course, you have to prove your knowledge of the place where your scenario is set. Which requires a serious bibliography. Also, your individual ideas has to be based on facts and lessons from the past.
