There has different spectroscopic profile when the complexes have MLCT or LMCT effect. In the UV the CT band can be identified. Please pay attention on the following paper:

There has been shown examples of CuII-complexes. When has CT, such as in the bridging type structures with participation of O-centre, than there is observed a band at about 380 nm. It is more intensive than these bands corresponding to the d-d transitions in the CuII-O bonded chromophores. Furthermore the d-d transitions are about 650-700 nm (low intensive, e=96 l.mol-1.cm-1)

I have Cu II and Cu III Salen complexes. In UV-Vis spectra, these show their distinctive peak at ~400 nm. Which one has ligand-to-metal CT ? Also, the peak intensity of UV-Vis band can be proportional with LMCT ?
