My key research area is on Effect of Tunneling on Rock slopes. I want to continue my research on this and i want to know about the possibility of doing model or any case study .
Lot of literature are available on this topic, i understood that you would like to do research on change in the engineering characteristics of rock due to tunnelling. I recommend to you to read the papers attached herewith for your reference. all the best in your research.
Mr Kumar, there are different types of problems as far as the interference between external slope and tunnel is concerned (subsidence, vibration, monitoring, induced stresses). I send you two papers I published in the past
- Reinforcement design and control of rock slopes above tunnel portals in northern Italy Article in International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences 41(3):515-515 · May 2004
- Ground vibrations problems in the excvation of tunnels under small rock cover Article published in SWEMP2004.
I suggest a paper which is truly important, in my opinion, about the general effects of tunnelling, during the excavation stages. This is not specifically related to the external slopes, but I think it is anyway important as a background . It is not mine, Link here below
