Since last many decades natural gas has been the cheaply and readily available fuel for water heating and cooking in this country. But now with severely depleted fossil reserves there is need to find new solutions which can be used for water heating and cooking. Electricity is a high cost item here and is also not available to folks in rural area. 

Solar Water heating solutions are now available and affordable. But there is need to develop or find solar cooking solution for homes, restaurants and community cooking.

Many solar cooker solutions are available but are not socially acceptable due to non availability of sunshine during night and long cooking times.  Only available option is to find cheap heat storage method to store heat at sufficiently high  temperature and then use this heat for night time cooking. In addition to that it will also be beneficial to learn from experience of others who are actively engaged in this field. If we can find a cost effective socially acceptable solution it will benefit the millions.
