Think beside the algorithms, we also need to have some datasets to test out / validate the algorithm or else not sure we can trust the algorithms to help us to trust people.

Eventually we can do such algorithms into the AI , but it needs have the intuition / gut feeling that is similar to our human behavior.
The problem if it is a pure algorithm , then if someone who's not trustworthy gets the code , he could trick such algorithm.
