We see that today almost as many people die from traffic accidents as from accidents due to choking and we can even verify that in recent years the trend lines of these causes of death have been crossed in the registration graphs. Undoubtedly, it is time to consider whether an 80% reduction in deaths due to suicide, accidental falls and drowning can really be achieved through effective preventive communication. This would mean that annual deaths from external causes in Spain could decrease by just over 6000 people.
