It is unlikely to completely replace traditional teaching instead enhance the teaching process. Coursera and other tools are good example of AI assistance where teachers teach in front once gain.

This statement seems to disregard the many different formats for teaching. It seems highly unlikely that early stage teaching of children would remove human teachers at any point in the near to medium term. This could easily be measured by polling parents with questions related to this e.g. "Would you be happy to have your 6 year old child only taught by an AI agent?"

Christopher Baker makes a good point. There are a number of subtle human behaviors that promote the learning process. Eye contact, body language and facial expressions on the part of the teacher. Admiration, loyalty, and a desire to please are often felt for favorite teachers. A little thought should provide other feelings involved in a healthy teacher/student relationship, but there are probably some we're not aware of. Some schools may decide its cheaper to use AI teachers, but an AI assistant, supporting a human teacher, would probably provide the optimum learning experience. Lets make the optimum experience the goal, rather than the cheapest.

While artificial intelligence (AI) can serve as an efficient provider of data, procedures, and recommendations, its functionality is limited to responding to specific information requests. Additionally, AI lacks the capability to foster learning in values, a fundamental aspect of comprehensive education effectively imparted by teachers.

However, AI can be of significant value as an educational assistant when utilized in conjunction with education professionals. In this collaborative framework, AI can complement the teacher's role, who can develop a personalized work plan integrating individual and collaborative study, and guide the extended cognitive development of the student, which is essential for maximizing their learning potential.

To me the terminal point of being teachers is to transform our students into self-learners. To make this happen, it takes more than just A.I.
