I'm doing a DNS assay and tried to do the whole protocol directly in a 96-well microplate due to amount of samples to read and save reagents.

But, when I came to the step of boiling my reaction, the plate couldn't handle heat and ended up deformed.

Anyway, my fitting curve wasn't looking so good (my highest concentration was slightly darker than the blank but not as I have already seen in previous DNS in test tubes).

So, can anyone help with: Microplates can handle this protocol? Is there any microplate brand (I'm not looking for PCR plates) suggestions? What would be the right way of boiling my reaction in a microplate? Am I doing something in the wrong way?

Thanks!
