To whom it may concern,

On the 12th of March I believe I was lucky enough to observe a single Omura’s Whale (Balaenoptera omurai) off the coast of Mauritania, Africa. At first I was unsure as to its positive identification; however, with a white lower right jaw, a single rostral ridge, slightly white leading edge to pectoral fin and approximate length of 7 to 10 m I believe it must be. Please take a look at the attached photos and let me know your thoughts.

Any help would be greeted with the utmost appreciation.

All the very best,

Edward Lavallin
