The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Perspectives in Higher Education (Print ISSN 2474-2546 | Online ISSN 2474-2554) invites submissions for a Special Edition on the theme:

Philosophical and Critical Perspectives on Sustainable Education in the Face of Global (Un)Certainties: Integrating Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development (SDGs)

Guest Editors:

Prof Doniwen Pietersen | Dr Dean Langeveldt | Dr Carlo Daniels

Scope:

This edition explores the intersection of sustainable education, artificial intelligence (AI), and decolonial praxis in an era of global instability. We invite contributions that critically examine how AI can be ethically and contextually integrated into education to advance Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG-4), particularly in sub-Saharan Africa and other Global South and North contexts, while resisting techno-determinism and neoliberal hegemony.

Key Themes:

Co-development of AI systems with educators and communities to enhance contextualized learning.

Enhancing the Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) model with AI tools to foster higher-order cognitive skills.

Hybrid learning frameworks integrating traditional knowledge and new technologies for cognitive independence and collective knowledge growth.
