Call for Chapters

Internationalization of Higher Education institutions has been mainly UK and US centric. Particularly in the UK the current student recruitment crisis makes it imperative to revisit the subject and expand our view to different locales and strategies. Analysis and responses to contemporary challenges will determine the direction of international higher education for the years to come. This book seeks to facilitate a watershed moment to pause, reflect and create more resilient and sustainable internationalization initiatives, highlighting common challenges as well as good practices. Additionally we invite practitioners in higher education to share new and innovative ideas as well as their practical insights into the realities of internationalization.Introduction

The book seeks to inform anyone involved higher education on the current state of internationalization. We highlight positive and negative cases so higher education leadership can find guidance for their own efforts. Equally we strife to point out to decisionmakers and faculty the holistic nature of the concept as well as point out the consequences when strategies are flawed or inconsistently implemented.
