Hello

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)  (also called Bluetooth Smart or Version 4.0+ of the Bluetooth specification) is the power- and application-friendly version of Bluetooth that was built for the Internet of Things (IoT)

I am working on a new project of localization using Bluetooth 4.0, i was wondering if can anyone share any comparison between BLE and GPS in term of accuracy and battery consumption.

How far is BLE battery-friendly ? Could it be an alternative  for GPS tracking in SmartCities where bluetooth transmitters will be everywhere ?

Best.
