Hello, I am currently working on a project analyzing crowdsourced data from online trip reports and social media applications. However, I am struggling in defining the methodology for this project, specifically how best to analyze texts from these trip reports/social media applications from a qualitative angle. The hope is to interpret large texts of data and categorize them into themes. I am outreaching to you all to gain varying perspectives on how best to do this. Thank you!
The Five-Level QDA method can be helpful using NVivo to extract and analyze data from online trip reports and social media applications. The methodology can help you to categorize the data into themes. The method also has videos supplement and textbook on Qualitative Analysis.
I have personally applied the methodology and written articles on it. My latest project, “The Emergent Approach to Literature Review,” dwells on the method.
