What analytic software would you recommend to examine a data set I created that lists the faculty members making up 1400+ thesis committees over a ten year period?
I'm interested in seeing how often the same faculty members have served on committees over this time period. I'm also interested in coding faculty members by discipline and am hoping this layer of meaning can also be part of my analysis.
Any recommendations for how to best analyze a spreadsheet of thesis committees with these goals in mind would be appreciated!
Depends which statistical software that you used during your statistics courses.
I would recommend you to use Python software through Jupyter Notebook(IDE). There are nice libraries that can easily perform the task.
Why not also see whether the committee voted the same or not? And perhaps why - if that can be dug up?
