Hello everyone,
Can anyone please let me know of any free open source software for plotting good quality scientific graphs?
I don't find MATLAB ,MS Excel or either Adobe Illustrator to be that great when it comes to plotting scientific data, so any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
I cannot afford commerical paid softwares like OriginPro etc.

Matlab is best. It gives you full control over graph.You can plot high resolution graph by just importing your data into matlab.

You can try GraphRobot (www.graphrobot.com), a free smart web app that can make publication quality plots. It automatically selects the appropriate statistical analysis for your data, and automatically adds significance asterisks to the plot if it detects statistical significance in your data.
