I am doing a buckling analysis of laminated composite shells with different cutout in Abaqus.
You could perform analytical studies to compare experimental and numerical results. Analytical code written in MATLAB to evaluate critical buckling load would be ideal for a comparison.
You can perform eigenvalue analysis analytically for buckling problems.
Approximation and analytical solutions.
