With warm wishes, I'm seeking parameters to enable me to model lateral loads on BFRC retaining wall sections in Abaqus. I have looked at many papers, publications and guidance documents. I have found the method for calculating these parameters, but have found it difficult to follow successfully.
The data I’m interested in are:
- Dilation Angle, Eccentricity, fbo/fco, K, Viscosity Parameter.
- Compressive behaviour: Yield Stress, Inelastic Strain, Damage Parameter.
- Tensile behaviour: Yield Stress, Cracking Strain, Damage Parameter.
I'm focussing on low-strength BFRC (C20 to C30) but would welcome any examples you have that can be directly pasted into Abaqus?

Dear Dr. Mabrouk, Thanks for your question. I have a retaining wall model that runs without error in Abaqus, using concrete plasticity damage parameters for ordinary portland cement of various strengths. What I'm looking for are the same parameters for BFRC that I can input to Abaqus to allow me to compare the different materials. I have found many papers stating how BFRC has been tested and that FEM has been carried out, but none so far stating the Abaqus input parameters used in their Abaqus modelling.

You can also try ANSYS Workbench, which provides better stress, strain, and deformation analysis. Additionally, it simplifies parametric analysis, making it easier to evaluate different parameters effectively.
