Hello everyone, I prepare TiO2 by hydrothermal method. In most cases studies show that the As prepapared TiO2 are mostly amorphous. But I got it in anatase phase. What can be the reason for this? The hydrothemal temperature was around 100 ° C.
I agree with the comment of Dr. Homnath Luitel to transfer the anatase to rutile at calcinated it more 700 degree and that leads to increase the crystal size.
Usually transferring amorphous TiO2 into anatase phase can be done by heat treatment and annealing at high temperatures. Due to anatase is a crystalline phase of titanium dioxide, most of specialists agree with the fact that amorphous TiO2 cannot be anatase.
