The emergence of AI would be a boon to the health sector in the early diagnosis of the dreadful diseases like cancer etc. May be missing diagnosis can be corrected. Although it is after all human trained intelligence but still once trained the machine can overcome circumstantial biases as humans have.
Dear Hima Bindu Ponnam Yes you are right. AI has a future in medicine and health as well as other sectors. Deep learning algorithms can train their skills further and like scientific calculator, on some so called “narrow tasks” they can be unbeatable. Therefore for triaging and diagnosing the diseases including differential diagnosis seems to be a simple tasks for an advanced AI ( CNN’s) In addition, good trained and robust AI will have no signs of fatigue and exhaustion or suffer from distractions. I feel AI is a friend than a foe.
