The DC Transformer was invented by me in 2016, The concept is presented on my website: orbicenergy.com A two port, proof of concept article, has been built, and shown to transfer energy in either direction. The next article that I will build and test will match solar cells, in a quasi-parallel panel connection, to a battery. A manual switch will be provided, to adjust the turns ratio for maximum power transfer, under conditions of varying battery state of charge, and solar panel irradiation. I will present a description of what I am doing on my website, but probably won't have time to format the description as a chapter in your book. If you, or some scholar, wanted to be "first to publish" about this important work, I would be glad to help.
A future product will reversibly couple a battery, to a line voltage of about 1KV. Are there any standards for line coupling voltage for interconnecting tiny battery systems?

Would you please introduce shortly the idea of the DC transformer. In order to generate an emf one has to change the the magnetic flux with time. The voltage V induced in a winding with N winding according to Faraday= N dphi/dt where phi is the flux in the core of the coil. If phi is static, then one can not generate V.
So in order to generate a voltage from a dc source one has to modulate its magnetic field and pass this time varying magnetic field in the core of the other winding.

Kalpana, I will probably not be submitting my work anywhere, I am not an academic. Any academic who can understand the DC transformer from what I present on my website, or explain, can be "first to publish". I am busy, and expect to continue to be busy, with preferred methods of making the DC Transformer, and applying it, where it is needed.
Abdelhalim, The link between every port, and it's associated winding, is reversed, often enough that the core never saturates. Because there are two reversals in every signal path, there is no net reversal of the DC signal, or power flow. Please look at the concept description on the orbicenergy.com website.
Aung, The benefits are far to many to enumerate here. Anything that an ordinary transformer can do for a voltage or current with no DC component, this invention can do for a voltage or current, with, or without a DC component. The DC transformer differs from any other DC to DC converter, in that there is no storage and recovery of energy. The turns ratio controlled coupling and referral are continuous.
