Are there studies on weevil tolerance under high CO2 level?

Currently working on oil palm response under high CO2 level. One of the objectives is to observe oil palm bunch production. Main pollinator is the weevil (Elaeidonius kamerunicus). However, they are hardly to be found in this condition (CO2 750 ppm). My concern is to investigate why the low amount of weevils? Any similar studies?

Yes weevils survive under mild concentration of CO2 only upto 125 ppm. Hard carapace as well as position of spiracles and alternate tracheoles and humidity of grain them provide sustenance in dark as well as in low oxygen conditions.
