I'm trying to soften and improve the behavior of a glassy, fluoronated polymer for a permselective membrane and also potentially incorporated Nafion in the membrane to improve ionic conductivity. I am more of an electroanalytical chemist/bio-medical engineer with minimal experience in polymer chemistry, especially silo- and fluoro-based compounds.
If leaching is not a problem, take a look at the attached paper examining Teflong AF plasticization with bicyclic, tricyclic, and liner perfluorpolyethers. Perfluoropolyethers might also be the thing for Nafion (http://www.exfluor.com/index.html). Note that as is often the case, one runs into miscibility (phase separation) issues (in addition to leaching).
If your application cannot tolerate leaching, or if you need to go higher than a miscibility limit, try one or more perfluoromonomers with low Tg. If you can find or make a perfluoronated vinylpolyether, you probably will be able to tune the Tg and mechanical properties. If not, try a perfluoronated acrylate of methacrylate, such as hexafluorobutylacrylate (Tg -22C).

I don't believe leaching will be an issue; I'm primarily trying to develop a permselective membrane formulation that is suitable for coating working electrodes for amperometric sensors. I'll look into perfluorpolyethers for sure!
