I think that the question posed by Dariusz is a scientific one and not a question of value judgment of humanity. An answer to this question lies in a proper scientific knowledge of the universe and not the one based on myths and mysteries that has always been the case so far. It also depends on whether the universe is considered to be finite or infinite. From a dialectical perspective, and as the quote from Frederick Engels (above) shows, the universe must be infinite & eternal and intelligent life is as much of an imperative as matter itself!

Historically, the myths about the cosmos (most unknown of all realms) were always the ruling ideas that all dominant and parasitic ruling classes used as efficient tools of their political power and control over working people and society; mediated by theology. Modern monopoly capitalism is no exception. Those myths always involved an omnipotent and omniscient creator who created the finite universe in the finite past and the rulers presented themselves as the representatives of that creator. The notion of a finite universe was of such paramount importance for theology that Giordano Bruno was burnt alive on the Stake for claiming that the universe is infinite - a natural conclusion from a dialectical perspective of the universe!

After Copernicus and the ensuing scientific revolution; the theological God (as the creator) lost much of His appeal. And as by the turn of the 20th century bourgeois capitalism turned to its regressive and parasitic monopoly form; the need for a credible creation theory of the universe became an urgent necessity. Thanks to the revival of the Platonic mathematical idealism in physics by Albert Einstein; monopoly capitalism and the Vatican now claim a more credible creation theory in the form of a Big Bang. The only difference between the previous ruling classes of history and present monopoly capitalism is that, the latter has total control and monopoly over scientific knowledge of its epoch and has the ability to command scientists and technology to “prove” their myths; which no one can contest or compete with. It’s philosopher-apologists provide sole criteria for knowledge and for the validity of a scientific theory based on “predictability”, ”falsifiability” etc., - criteria that monopoly capitalism can manipulate and use conveniently to justify their pet theories!

The above question inspired me to the following considerations:

Are there any studies in the field of the science of the evolution of species on the possibility of the creation of intelligent beings from other types of animals, eg dinosaurs or octopuses in a favorable conditions for such evolutionary processes?

It's subject to a strong proof which is yet to be received. It needs series of scientific study and research, space expedition, interpretation of many cosmic incidents, etc. The process is on and continuing. So, It will be too early to be conclusive in this very regard.
