I am searching for comparison of 2 different types of social service programs, "Welfare to Career" ( partners with 4 year insitutitions/entrepreneurship programs) vs Welfare to Work (short term training or work first) programs. The goal is to determine which programs is more effective in preparing students for higher income status and wealth, which is key to independence from social services.

I did not know anything about this, but it sounded interesting so I looked it up! However, from seeing your 'Masters in Public Administration/ Public Policy' you probably know much more than this already.

Thank you so much for your prompt response. The reason for my project is because too many social service programs depend on short-term training or work first strategy. My belief is that the policy may not be sufficient enough to prepare for competitive careers. I recently received a response from a welfare to career program that offer 4 year degree programs for students.
My goal is to prove which program is more successful with hopes that states will adopt the most effective program.
