Hello Branka,
This is a new project within the NRC Cancer Immunology group which is part of the Vaccines and Immunotherapeutics program. NRC’s Vaccines and Immunotherapeutics program aims to develop novel immunotherapies that harness the body’s own immune system to fight cancer and emerging infections.
In our lab we are using in vitro and in vivo mouse models, human primary immune cell differentiation, immunophenotyping and functional assays to understand the tenets of CAR-T and other immune cell therapies against cancer.
I have had a long standing interest in various forms programmed cell death. My recent publication in Science Translational Medicine established a gene editing strategy for examining cell death signalling which we are examining now within the context of mouse and human T cells
