As far as I know hybrots have been used only in research environment for the purposes of studying neural activity. Are there any already existing practical applications that utilize natural intelligence in some way? Or is someone currently working on that?

I am indeed interested especially in hybrots that have a robotic body and embodied brain extracted from a living animal (such as a rat or a sea lamprey) - work done for first time by Steve M. Potter. Cyborg animals are something rather different, they are living animals augmented with some technology. I am seeking for real world applications for the first mentioned - hybrots. The research of prof. Warwick is the exact thing that I examine from a legal point of view.
The question is, are hybrots used for something else than just studying memory and neural functioning?
