Mostly, media houses (in special news channels)are criticised for being biased towards a particular political party. However, it is the basic mandate for news channels to be unbiased and independent. In this context, in your opinion are media houses unbiased and secular?
It is hard to conceive a media outlet that is completely unbiased or completely biased. The problem is that frequent exposures to biased media depictions tend to cause the viewers to accept such depictions as being proper reflections of reality .
Oftentimes in Switzerland, opposing political parties will both blame the same media outlet for being biased in their opponent's favor. However, if you move to another country, like the US, you will find media outlets with rather clear political ties and partisan coverage. The fact that journalism wants to report "objectively" has more to do with extending their user base by not repelling anybody a priori than with finding any "real" truth.
The media, at least in say Australia and the USA, are profit driven. As a consequence, news is delivered to be entertaining, to draw in viewers. Hence, we see "click bait" banners that pose a partial question that draws us into the article. The number of "reads" is eventually condensed into dollars via advertising or whatever. Facts and truth are often the first victims sacrificed for the sake of the editorial policy.
El-Sayed El-Aswad 's comment is also correct - if the same information is repeated enough, over time it becomes established as some sort of truth, and that appears as bias, natural or induced.
