India is one of the largest manufacturer of producing number of varieties of agricultural crops presently and since the agricultural revolution has started. And our wild type varieties are rarely found around the globe.

But now adays we are failing to maintain wild type breeds and loosing crop nutritional qualities by loosing soil nutritional value and continuously applying chemical pesticides and planting hybrid varieties.

Number of varieties have already lost their identity and many are threaten. Govt. of India, considering India as agri based country spending crores and crores behind agri research and without any significant contribution. Agri dept and universities are now become just formalities by Govt on paper. If such amount of money is spent on agri research then where does it goes? Why is wild type varities are getting lost? If they are failed to maintain and hybrids are being sold illegally in name of wild type than Govt should implement BRAI so that Govt can get some money for their funds and illegal selling can be regulated.

ya even i agree with you, But coming to health i cannot suggest GM foods..!

Wild type are rarely found, To produce those varieties BT can be used. But why this GM foods has to be implemented in all varieties which are already existing.

If i m wrong please educate me... ! i found very little benefits through GM Crops

I would favor it with strong restrictions in its genetical modifications and nutritional qualities. Cause now or sooner it will become legal but it is good if they put prior restrictions in its genetic modifications.

We are in a debate which is endless unless we prove it practically! My opinion was similarly theoretical as my opinion is neutral. When talk specifically we are required to concern about the committee member and the clauses made in the approval by supreme court. But if we consider that much legal matter to concern we should also not forget the regulating body and how much strict the monitoring is? ( eg. hybrid crop species) In my opinion problem is not with the guidelines and the regulation govt has applied its in the implementation and the monitoring.
