This research is based on the fact that currently China is home to many colleges
and universities, and these higher-education institutions are widely distributed,
with their complicated conditions. Besides, they are suffering such problems as
declining campus environment, deteriorating building performance, aging equipment
and facilities, high consumption of energy and resources, ever-growing stock which
far outnumbering increment, and so on. This study, problem-based and goal-oriented
as it is, starts with the main problems encountered by college campuses, and
focuses on the green transformation of current campuses. Firstly, it selects
typical cases to conduct the research and data collection on the ? colleges and
universities in China, sets up a database of campus buildings and eco-situations,
extracts key evaluation indicators of campus reconstruction, and works out the
related evaluation models. Secondly, it, based on the dual-orientation
constraints, lays down the design principle of green transformation, and on the
basis of quantitative transformation conditions and objectives, formulates the
reconstruction scheme, and identifies the mathematical model of decision-making
optimization. Finally, it employs the post-evaluation platform to render the
real-time data feedback at multiple levels of building, environment and users, in
order to improve transformation measures and optimize strategies of
implementation. The results will promote the sustainable green growth of college
campuses in China, and provide solutions for quality campus ambience
